Lotus Blossom

"You open your eyes to the yellowing-white of your ceiling. It's an unpleasant sight, but one you're used to. With a groan you roll over on your bed, squinting against the light coming in from the window to the left of your head. There was something you were supposed to do, maybe. Probably.

You pull yourself up from your bed and nearly trip over a particularly large pile of dirty laundry on the floor. Your foot nudges against your backpack. Ah. You must have left it there last night. As you pick it up, you cast a skeptical glance about your room. Maybe you should clean up. Not today though. Tomorrow. Probably."
